Pumpkin carving!

My grandma who still lives on the farm lets people sell things out front in our little produce stand thing, where we used to sell corn. Anyway someone brought over a giant trailer full of pumpkins and said he didnt want them so we could sell them or just get rid of them. They sold most of them but still had a ton left so we went out there with my mom her boyfriend and Austin and picked the biggest ones to carve. See how we are right by the oven?? My grandma was making baked apples (SOOOOOO GOOD!) and we were all melting because it was soooo hot!

Austins arms were getting tired from scrubbing all the guts out so this is what he looked like for about 15 min.

You cant see very good in any of the pics, but my mom drew snoopy on Austins pumpkin and it turned out awesome!

Here it is in the light

David of course did a peace sign

From left to right is my moms boyfriends, just a scary face, mine came out horrible it says Marlee with a bottle in the middle and little stars around it, and my moms is an owl, this is a crappy pic but it turned out really cool too.

Another close up of Davids

This is where they sit outside our house up the stairs, they are all sunken in now tho :(

Milly the halloween cat sticking out her tongue

She likes the pumpkins

A few days before my aunt Margaret wanted to take us out to lunch for our anniversary present. I didnt know people bought couples stuff for anniversaries? My family was really big on it anyway, so at first we tried going to the new Olive Garden that opened up in American Fork, but at 12 in the afternoon there was still a 45 min wait! So we just went to the Asian buffet.

I wish I would have taken the camera inside with us because Maddie is usually REALLY shy, but after she ate a little bit she opened up and talked our ears off! She is the complete opposite of Talea, she is terrified of bugs! There were flies buzzing around and anytime she saw one she would point at it and say scary!! She got along with David great!

Oh and i didnt take any pictures becuase they dont turn out anyway, but last night was Austins last game, he made it to the championships! Unfortunately the refs were paid off by the other team i swear! I think they called maybe 2 things on them the entire game. Our team could not gain a yard without having something called on us! The lehi crowds by the end were just screaming at the refs the entire time, the coach got a technical and when they blew the whistles for the end of the game they ran out of the stadium because they were so afraid of the lehi moms lol. It was upsetting, but at least we know why they lost!

Baby Marlee!

Here she is! perfectly healthy, big baby girl!

These pictures look kind of scary, I think anyway...I wish they could do a video to show her moving.

Her femur, leg, and little baby foot

She wasnt afraid to hide the fact that she is a girl! I think she is sick of David saying there is still a chance she is a boy.

This is the blood pumping from her heart.

And the last one is her little heart beating away.

The dr visit today wasnt quite what I had expected, probably because Marlee kept me awake all night! She is getting some good kicks and punches in these days. David can even feel her, if he wakes up early enough! She has parties all night and then slowly finishes off around 9 or 10 in the morning. Oh and I gained 6 lbs this time! still not even to where I was when I started, but making progress. I hoped and prayed to gain weight this time, and now im missing the weight loss. Oh well I want a chunky baby anyway.
So here she is! The ultra sound showed that the due date will be March 16, I didnt ask how big she was I always forget to ask the things I really want to know. Oh well she will be here soon enough

1 year down, a lifetime to go!

I dont know if I have complained about this before, but we never got any of our wedding cake, besides what was smashed in our faces. So my dads friend made our cake, and I asked him if she could redo it for us. She made it bigger than the top layer, but its ok because I will eat it all anyway. We decided since it was so big we didnt want to take the whole thing with us to the bed and breakfast for 2 days, so we cut out some pieces and my aunt took it home for us.

We had fun pretending to cut it like at our wedding again.

We left straight from my dads house after the family party to the Armstrong Mansion. I LOVE this place! It is so much better, in my opinion, than Anniversary Inn. (its cheaper too!)

This is our huge jetted tub!

And our bed with all the old homey furniture. Yes that is a Mcdonalds bag on the bed. Its a really funny story. We were starving again when we got to the mansion so we just started walking to find something to eat. The closest thing we could find was Mcdonalds so we went in and got it and headed back home. On the way I remembered that after our wedding reception, neither of us ate anything there so we were both starving on the way up to salt lake so we stopped at a Mcdonalds on the way to Anniversary Inn, which is on the same block as Armstrong Mansion. So it is very possible that not only did we bring up the same tradition of Mcdonalds on the wedding anniversary, but it may have been the exact same Mcdonalds!

Its midnight and it has officially been 1 year! the cake made a great midnight snack!

October 20th....we had an amazingly delicious breakfast, we didnt take any pictures which I am a little upset about. Its such a fancy place, we didnt get breakfast in bed, but it was a way better menu than the AI. We had stuffed french toast, fruit, cereal, triffle, toast, pulpy orange juice. (that is my biggest craving! I usually hate pulp but i cant get enough of it now) I didnt get enough sleep, being prego it is impossible for me to sleep a whole night thru so we went back upstairs and took a nap before heading out to Trolley Square for lunch.

We ate at the Old Spagetti Factory. They even let us sit in the big king and queen velvet red chairs. There was a really hot busser boy that even David had to check out a few times. The meal was awesome, but like we always do when we go out..we ate less than half and ended up taking the rest home. Then we went to the taffy shop and got ice cream, and chocolate covered cinnamon bears.

We didnt go on the horse and buggy ride, instead we HAD to go to Austins biggest game against the only undefeated team in his league. They lost, but they are still in the playoffs. Only 4 teams made it and 2 of them are the only 2 teams they lost to. No idea when those games will be, but we will be going to them too.

This is David taking a picture of himself outside of the Mansion.

And me freezing waiting for my dad to take us to the game. Next year we will have our own car. It is really frusterating to have to have someone take us everywhere like we are 12 again. All in all this was the get away we needed before the baby comes! I loved it and cant wait to see what we do next year.

Cardon family party for Oct.

Austin likes to play with Milly, so right before we left he put my build a bears glasses (the first present David ever bought me) on Milly. And yes I know its also a booby shot, they are out of control I cant hide them very easily now.

So once a month my dads side of the family has a dinner party, they all take turns hosting and everyone cooks. We decide at the parties where and when and who is cooking what. This time it was at my dads house and we had chilli and corn bread and lots of pie.

My uncle Dale is in the blue, he made the chilli and it was REALLY good. I usually hate chille but I ate so much I thought I was going to pop. Good thing I have 2 digesters :) Oh and by the way, still no heart burn! I dont even know what it feels like so I guess it was an even trade off. Morning sickness for no heart burn.

The back of my dad and my uncle Larrys heads.

He is my fav uncle, and his daughter Maddie. She is our entertainment at these things. She is almost 3 I think and she is a talker! As long as you are more than 3 feet away from her and one of her parents or siblings is right behind her.

See she has to be touching someone she knows at all times!

My grandparents just got back from a trip to Mexico. They decided they want to start a family geneology lesson at every get together. My grampa is a huge geneology nerd. He has a library full of our family history. I once turned in one of his binders as homework and got an A on the assignment! The Cardon family is famous in Italy and once every 10 years I think they do a giant Cardon reunion in Italy. The next one is in 2010 and they just got the newsletter about it. I will go one day, but not in 2010 thats for sure!

The kids all got bored, but they behave really good! I think my dad made more noise than they did!

We were also celebrating 3 birthdays. Austins was the 17th my dads was the 21st and his wifes is the 31st. So they all got sung to and opened presents. Austin doesnt like my dads wife, and he is acting like he is "too cool" for the party.

They all opened their stuff. No one knows what to buy a kid who doesnt approve of anything so he just got a whole bunch of cards with money and some candy. My aunt Margarets kids all make everyone cute hand drawn cards for their birthdays. I got some for mine but dont know where they are. I wish I would have taken a picture of Austins. The kids all love him so they drew extra special cards for him. They all follow him around and make him go play with them too. Its cute.

See he cant even let his smile be seen, punk!

Dirty Truth Tag

1. Kitchen Sink.....not too bad. Usually the sink is over flowing with dishes, I am very happy I read the Tag the day I did or else this could have been really nasty!

2. Fridge...We just went shopping too! yay for stocked fridges! We also get the bottled water by the case load, I just have a phobia of drinking tap water.

3. Laundry room....its also our bathroom so we keep the laundry baskets in our huge bedroom instead of crowding the bathroom.

4. Toilet....again SO happy I got this tag the day I did, I think I had just spent the day cleaning. David was paranoid of letting me use cleaners, he kept promising he would do all the cleaning but never did. So while he was at work I picked up all the bottles, put on gloves and sprayed everything as fast as I could. I sat by an open window while it sat for a few min and by the time I went in to wipe everything down the chemical smell was already gone. Im not listening to other pregnant women anymore! Its retarded to spend 9 months of my life not doing everything I am completely capable of. Ill just start buying those green cleaners from walmart.

5. My closet....Usually there are a LOT more clothes hung up to the point where they dont fit, but I had just done laundry and havnt hung anything up yet, so it looks kinda of bare. The dresses take up half the closet.

6. Favorite pair of shoes....ok they are not my favorite but they are my most random wacky pair of boots ever! David hates when I wear them because I look like the abominable snowman.

7. Favorite room in the house....the only messy one on this day which is funny because right now it is completely spotless. This is our living room, the room where most time is spent and Austins bedroom on the weekends. I believe this was a monday so he had just left.

8. Dream vacation.....of course is back to Hawaii with David. I went once with someone who was horrible and boring to travel with, now I get to make memories with David in paradise!

9/10. I dont know what happened to the pic of David I had for this, but here I am! I took my hoodie off to show how big my belly is. I think its even bigger now! My boobs def win the most grown so far tho! If you can imagine they are even bigger!!

yay for ugly cleaning days! At least I am comfortable!

Since I didnt have any pics of anyone else I decided I would throw in this pic of Star from when I baby sat her. I only have a few so instead of doing a whole other post for a few pics here she is! She really likes to pose for the camera but im always too slow to catch her. My fav thing is when she pics up the high school musical barbie and sings a long with her. Shes pretty good!

And I have no one to tag unless you want to do it again :)

Happy Bday Austin!!

For Austins b-day the night before we went to the Thanksgiving Point Scarecrow festival and corn maze. It was tons of fun! We were there for about 3 hours in the freezing cold, but were so entertained we hardly noticed our frozen faces. I brought my old friend Linzey along, we went to high school together and havnt seen each other for a while so I thought it was about time I get a social life back.

Here we are lost in the corn maze. We had the option of choosing the phase that took 20 min or 45 min. Of course David had to do the 45 min maze in the dark and freezing cold. We all had glow sticks tho so at least we had some sort of light. The maze is a tribute to David Archuletta, if thats how you spell his name. Anyway they had his music blasting thru the entire maze and I about died. It was like a form of torture. I hate american idol and yes the kid has a great voice, but not while walking thru a maze.

There was a giant pyramid of really cool carved pumpkins, you cant really see them because it was too dark but they had a wall of pirates of the carribean that were really good. I didnt really look at too many others, there were a lot of disney and creepy monsters.

This was more for little kids but hey David and Austin pretty much are little kids! They were practicing their lasso skills. Austin had to show David how to do it....

But David actually sat on the saddle while he did it. I didnt take a pic but he did get the bull.

They had an over sized chair that was fun to climb up and take pictures on.

On the way to Thanksgiving Point we were all squished in the back seat, we tried to show you how squishy we were but couldnt get the camera far away enough for the other 2 to get in the pic. Instead we ended up looking like a big gulp advertisement.

My mom and her new boyfriend thing from New Jersey. She cant seem to find any one to date in Utah so she ends up relying on the computer. They always turn up to be dorks in the end, but at least they are nice to us, or at least pretend to be? Very touchy subject that I could rant on for a while, but I wont. She just wasnt with us for most of the night but thats ok we like spending time with Austin anyway.

My mom was the only one who would put her head in at first.

Then every one else joined in! Its usually really difficult to get Austin to do anything silly like this, he is 14 and in his "too cool" stage, but as soon as he sees David doing it he will jump in, they are getting to be really good friends these days.

This was the pretty pumpkin princess area, they had dresses for little girls to dress up like princesses and wigs and tiaras, we all put on a wig and jumped in the cinderella pumpkin to take a picture with the princess. David and Austin look like cavemen.

Austin ended up staying the night at our house, it was his fall break so he had no school. Friday was his birthday and to celebrate it my mom took off to Idaho with her new boy guy so we ended up giving Austin his birthday. We bought him a cake and cake and ice cream, then took him shopping to get a new hoodie. We didnt make it to a movie that night so the next night David and Ryan took him to see one I didnt want to see, it ended up I was right and they didnt like it. Im glad he enjoyed his birthday tho. I remember when my mom would plan other things on my birthdays and they were all horrible. I believed it was a cursed day untill this last year, I finally broke the curse. I guess 2 deaths on the one before was the deal breaker. My granpa and Davids dad passed away on my 19th b-day so now its not only a bday its also a memorial day. I guess it just means im extra special and it was my grampas way of telling me I was his favorite :)
