David is in practice to be a daddy!

We decided it was time to set up the crib to make sure it fit in our bedroom. David got a set of tools for christmas from my little brother so he was excited to finally have something to use them on. It wasnt too hard to put together, even tho I just watched and read the instructions to him :) It was the first thing David got to do for his baby Marlee!!
And the bottom picture is our new car seat for her. It is a stroller/car seat deal but we havnt put together the stroller yet. Thanks mom! We LOVE it, its green and it fits us perfectly.
Now all we need is a little baby....

Starlett turns 2!

Okay so this will be short so Teresa can do the big post about this party. Star had a bday party at Chuck E Cheese on Friday. David and I showed up a little early and ended up waiting FOREVER for every one else to show up late.
This was also the day of the blue and gold banquet dinner I was in charge of planning. I didnt really do much at all and didnt need to be there during the dinner so I went in set up and came to the party!
We had lots of fun watching how over whelmed Star got at everything she could do, while Rain drug her and threw her on everything she could. David decided to put her on this clock ride it just goes in circles. At first she was terrified, but in the end she loved it.
At the end of the night my favorite thing was helping Rain figure out what she could get with her tickets and how many of each thing she could get. She got mostly candy and each one was supposed to be 40 tickets and she only had enough for 3 pieces, but the girl handing out the prizes would just pick up handfuls of each thing she wanted and drop it on the counter. After we told the girl all Rain wanted there was a huge pile sitting there. Rain knew she didnt really have enough for that giant pile and wasnt sure if she could take it all, so she slowly one by one started grabbing them and kept looking around like she was about to get in trouble. That made me laugh for the rest of the night.
It was a lot of fun even tho Chuck E Cheese is super over priced and waaay too small for the amount of people they shove in there. Next time we go on a weekday!

Getting ready for baby showers!

My momma is planning me a shower on the 28th. She is miss craft when it comes to these type of things so of course no store bought or ordered invitations would do. We hand made them which turned out to be a big pain in the butt! She recruited me one night after her first attempt failed, but we got them done!
My step mom is also throwing me a shower on the 21st but I havnt really been involved in any of the planning or anything other than gathering addresses for the invitations. The best part of this all so far was registering at Baby's R Us with David. We took a lot of time, and put waaay too much on the registery, but hey hopefully people will just think we need a lot and buy us more!

My bravest post EVER

Well here you have it. I always imagined when I got pregnant that I would have a cute perfect Tiana belly. Nope. For the rest of us this is what a baby does. Im really glad that in the pictures you cant really see my hair..I have black hair so any that popped up makes my belly look like a gorilla or something.
I am getting bigger by the day and my stretch marks keep getting darker. You can see the ones in the bottom picture on the under belly part, they are almost black! I have a few on my sides that just came in and they are also the almost black nasty color.
I have been putting cocoa butter, the palmers lotion (if that is what its called) on twice a day and still....I get to look like this! The lotion does help to fade them out a little, they all started out really dark purple and now they are fading more of a shiny pink, except for the new ones.
So Tiana I dont want to hear any more complaining about your 3 clear marks you have now!! I just hope I can sneak by the rest of my time with what I have now. I dont know where any more of them could possibly come in!

Super Bowl/Rock Band Party

For super bowl sunday we went up to the Great Life building where they set up the game in one of the rooms on their giant projector screen. In another room on another projector was the game rock band. Its almost exactly like guitar hero but they have drums, 2 guitars and a microphone so its like your a real band. We watched the first half of the game because the room was really comfy, they took all the couches in their and people brought all kinds of junk food.
Then at half time after the horrible performance of who ever that old guy was...we played rock band! it was fun, they had lights set up and a fog machine so people could feel like they were really on a stage in a band.
The only thing that kind of ruined the day was some lady who came up to me while I was playing and said that I needed to leave because my baby was going to be deaf. I smiled thinking she was joking and she wasnt. She was glaring at me the rest of the time she was in there. We were about to leave anyway but even if we werent I think I would have. I HATE overly paranoid moms like that who think they are right about everything and push it onto other moms. My baby loves music and she was dancing the rest of the night, for hours after we left. I was not worried one bit about her little ears, I know she will be fine and she will just come out ready to dance and sing with us!
