Marlee gets a new crib!

Last month I got a letter in the mail about a warehouse going out of business in Orem. They were selling the really expensive cribs for cheap, so I wanted to go look. But knowing me, I procrastinate like no other!! I lost the letter for a while, so when I found it again I called and asked how many cribs they had left and they said over 500! So I was really excited!! Now I just needed a ride there!!
Aunt Margaret to the rescue!! (she is maddies mom) She is a stay at home mom and after getting her older 3 kids off to school its just her and Maddie for the day. My grama was watching her the day she called me, so we went with out Maddie, but it was a good thing because we intended to only go look at them and ended up buying one.
I had told my dad about the sale, and that is when he called my aunt to see if she would want to take me to "look" at them. It was pretty easy to find the general area for where the building was, but finding the actual warehouse took us a good 15 min, the only thing they had to direct us anywhere was a crib with a sign on it. It didnt even have an arrow or anything on it saying which way to go. We found it, just a big show room. The 2 men there were putting together a crib for someone, and they didnt speak English very well.
It turned out the ad I had was for a specific color, that was the one I REALLY wanted, but there was another style on sale in a few different colors. So we found the one, looked around at a few others, and were stuck not knowing what we were supposed to do next? So Margaret whipped out her phone and called my dad. They talked for a few min and the next thing I knew we were buying it!
The 3 colors were white, cinnamon and ginger. We chose the ginger one because white gets dirty too fast, and the guy couldnt understand us enough to show us what the cinnamon color looks like. The crib is a convertable one, so it turns into the toddler crib/bed and then into a twin bed! The rails to convert them were extra, but it was still waaaay cheaper than any I had found so far. It was originally $675 for just the crib, I dont even know how much the rails were before. We got the rails for $75 each convert so the total for the crib was 250! Now I just need to find a mattress.
The ladys that David works with (I used to work with) have bought us a few things too. One of them just showed up at our door with a few big bags. She said she was at a botique and found a bunch of crib bumpers and bedding on sale, and she thought they were cute so she just bought them. I think there are 3 or 4 different styles. They are really cute, but I havnt really looked at them yet so I couldnt tell you what they are!
Anyway...I havnt rambled for a while, and I was super excited about this crib so I had to tell the story! In the mean time, we have decided we are getting rid of Milly. She is getting mean and biting and no matter what we do she just gets worse. She knocks over the garbage can everyday about 4 times a day! And she keeps me up all night sitting by the door meowing. I wanted to get her used to not coming into our room for when the baby comes, but that just made her learn to sprint to get under the bed so we cant grab her before she gets there. She is a pain in the butt!! So if anyone knows of anyone who wants a cat, she is free!

6 Quirks

The land of blogging is kind of boring right now, I never know what to write with my pictures, so even tho I wasnt tagged in this, I read it on a few other blogs and just decided to tag myself I guess.

1. TV is just background noise for me, I actually pay more attention to commercials than any actual show. So one of my quirks is that no matter the commercial, I ALWAYS read the fine print on the commercial. Some of them are really funny because everything the commercial is saying could be partially or not true at all.

2. I pop my toes when I am bored, or nervous, or anything. I dont even have to touch them to pop them anymore, and they always pop more than once in a row.

3. When I am walking I am constantly counting things in my head, or watching where I walk. The lines on the crosswalks are always counted, and I HAVE to only step on the white part. I step inside the squares of big tile, and sidewalk squares. I count stairs as I go up or down them. Sometimes I count the steps to and from things in my little apt so when its dark I know how many steps there are to certain things.

4. I have a very specific routine in the shower, and if I do ANYTHING out of order I get messed up and forget what I have and havnt done. This usually results in a double hair washing or face washing. The most common mess up is when we run out of conditioner and havnt gone to the store yet, I know I skipped a step so I always end up standing there for a few min remembering what comes next. It always feels wierd to just skip a step and in my head my hair is just gross and nasty until I get to conditioner it again.

5. I am not a huge spell checker, half the time if the word is spelled wrong I dont even notice, I just read what it is supposed to say and move on. BUT the their, there and they'res drive me nuts!! When people use them wrong. I will slack myself on any spell checking or grammar, but I can not stand to use a their wrong.

6. I refuse to wash my hair 2 days in a row. Unless I did something that made me sweat a lot that day. I will still shower every day. But my hair is shinier and healthier with skipping a day of washing. And with my skipping a step quirk, the off days are the wierdest showers! Usually I would take a bath on those days, but I dont have a tub so I get the wierd shower routine instead.

I dont know if Teresa has done this or not so if not she is the only one left to tag.

Austay-O-Perosis

Tonight was Austins team banquet dinner party. We ate bbq food and the coaches gave out awards to the players. Every one got one of these medals that has their name on it, and 2008 8th grade football. Austin also got the Rookie of the Year Award. This was his first year playing any organized sport! Yay Austy!!

The medals were pretty cool but you cant even see it in this pic because of the purple ribbon!

I just wanted to show some of the decorations. They had purple and white balloons every where and footballs in the middle of every table with purple silver and white shiny stuff. One of the moms made a really cute slide show of all the parents and fans. They played that as you walked in, David was in a TON of those pics. He was the teams loudest fan that is for sure!!

This is Austin and Eli. He was the tank of the team! I think that was his award even! They live about a block apart so they are really good friends. They both made the A team, but chose to be on the B team because they had so many friends on the team. It worked out because the A team sucked this year!

Austin is so funny, he usually is too embarassed or anything to touch my belly or even ask about it. So I was shocked when he grabbed it in this pic!

And my mum with the baby. Doesnt he look thrilled.

Im sorry that David couldnt be here, he really should have gone in my place. BUT he was working so that we can eat and save up for the little one on the way. I have never in my life been so appreciative of him, EVER! When i first got pregnant i was the one working full time, David picked up hours where he could, but my check was paying the rent and then some. When I got sick he totally picked up the slack and took over all my hours plus more! Thank you baby for every thing you do! I cant wait for all of you to see the changes in both our lives, we are doing a TON better than we have, ever, even before we got married. This is just the start of an upward climb for us!

BYU game, and....?

Mrs. Linda Mom gave us 4 tickets to the last home game for BYU this season. Austin, Ryan David and I went.....I had cramps half the game from climbing the giant stairs with no help from anyone! I know im just being a baby about it but my tummy did hurt till half time. That was the most enjoyable time for me. I got food and something other than football!! The band came out playing the theme songs for some games..the first one was tetris (and they formed shapes of the game) so there was tetris, zelda, pokemon and GUITAR HERO! lol it was pretty cool. This pic is I think the pokemon ball or the guitar? I cant tell. OOh when they did the guitar hero one, the color guard girls made lines off to the side and they ran yellow, green, red, and blue umbrellas down to make it look like the notes.

David, Ryan and Austin dont like their picture taken EVER!

This is what happens when I make him take pics with me....be afraid for the family pictures on Thanksgiving!

In other news....this is my belly so far. I am at 21 1/2 weeks right now, these are my new maternity clothes so I had to model my belly in them. The pants are SO not attractive!! Im so happy my belly isnt getting HUGE cuz that means I wont have to wear these nasty pants for very long!! And I swear this pic is lying! They really mean it when they say the camera adds 10 lbs. My belly really doesnt look this big in person. People come over excited to see it and when they cant see anything they think i stuff for pictures or some thing!

A decent looking picture of us, I got new hair!

Yeah I have bangs now, and my hair is almost black! The stylist promised me it would calm down soon, I just hope it doesnt completely fade and have my ugly blonde poking thru again!

And last David in his scrubs for work, and when Austin is over he makes it a habbit to dress Milly up in this dog t-shirt thats too big, and my stuffed bears sunglasses. She hates it but she doesnt look like she is fussing in this pic. Another thing they do to her is put tape on all 4 paws and her back. She eventually gets them off but they like to laugh at her while she has them on.
