A few days with Whitnee

We had Whitnee stay with us for a few nights, we spent one night up at Teresas so we were with her for 3 days. As you all should know, we sold our car a while ago so we now take the bus! Saves a ton of money on the gas we dont buy now! So we went up to Daylons bday party at the swimming pool and spent the night, then Darin took us down to a trax station, but we werent ready to go home yet. We went up to Salt Lake and took Whitnee around temple square and then up to the gateway. Here are some pics of that.....

These 4 were actually on our way up to Teresas. We had some time to kill before our bus headed up there, and we were waiting for my dad.Sitting on the steps of the TEMPLE!

David was so excited he touched the temple and didnt burst into flames......

that he tried to go in! JK he ran away as soon as i took the picture

This is the next day with Whitnee, inside the old tabernacle. I sang here at the last general conference held here. I was probably about 13.

Then we went to the visitors center, this is the model of Jeruselem, it talks about where an event happened and a little light blinks on the model where it was.

David and Whitnee in front of a picture of the statue upstairs, we didnt have time to go up and see the real one.

Whitnee learning about something?

This is about how much fun it was at the end of it all...

Whitnee and I threw pennies in the fountain, there was a big shell thing we both made it in after 2 or 3 tries

Whitnee and I in front of the temple at the reflection pond.

Whitnee inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building

David and I

This is where my dad works (upstairs of course) I love this building especially at Christmas when the giant tree is up, but its green and it reminds me of mermaids or under the sea.

We went up to the roof and took pics of the temple.

David and Whitnee on the Trax. We had to stand up when we first got on and the circle thing spins on the turns and whit was scared of it at first. After a while she thought it was pretty fun.

Now we get to wait for a ride home from Trax, this is what we did to entertain ourselves. Whit wanted a pic of us kissing....

We tanned our legs, David blinded us with his whiteness..

I took bored pictures of everyones feet....

Finally we got home! Whit played with Milly a lot

I dont remember if it was the first or second night, but Davids friend Ryan always invites us to activities with him and his girlfriend Danielle. Her ward had given her some wrist bands to get into the giant multi ward activity at 7-peaks. It went from 6 to midnight! And they had a few new slides since I had been there. I think it was really a multi stake activity because i saw a lot of people from my old ward in Lehi and i wasnt too pleased to see them. BUT whitnee had fun. Here are the pics we got for this event....

Whitnee goofing off in the car.

Me not happy to be going, and then the camera died! It was a fun night but no proof of it!

Tag from Teresa (BRAT!)

How To Play This Game of Tag: Post these rules on your blog. List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.

JOYS (aside from the top 2 family & faith)

1. Being able to be the aunt that gets to play with the kids while im there, but handing them back to their parents when im done :)

2. Being married to someone who matches me so perfectly. We think, act, talk, ARE alike, but still have sooo many differences. We get to learn new things about each other and its what i never would have seen in him that i love discovering.

3. Being able to do something for someone else, and seeing their face (when they appreciate it) that brings THE biggest joy for me that i could ever feel.

FEARS

1. HEIGHTS! BUT i have challenged myself (and cam) to return to my biggest fear and let it know it doesnt controll me. I will one day go to Las Vegas and ride those horrible rides.

2. That one day David will wake up and look at me and think "what the hell was i thinking?" and just pack up and leave.

3. Falling so far back into my depression that i wont be able to come out of it.

GOALS

1. To finish school the top of my class, with confidence in my new skill.

RIP Hiro

Hiro was our cute little teddy bear hampster. He was free from craigslist the night i graduated great life. When we first got him he was really cute and fun to watch in his ball. At first he wasnt too good with how small our apt is, he would run into EVERYTHING in that ball. It didnt take him too long to master the corners and stop hitting things. After a week or so i got brave and decided to hold him (small rodents freak me out) but instead of actually grabbing him i just poked him which i guess was a really bad idea because he would freak out and it made me laugh so i told david to give it a try and Hiro bit him pretty good. After that i was too afraid to pick him up even to put him in his ball, so david did. He got bit a few more times after that.
Milly and Hiro played together pretty well, they would chase each other and they liked to have staring matches, to see who would move first. We discovered Hiro one morning all stuffed underneath his "coverings" i dont know exactly what it is, the stuff we put in the bottom of the cage. He always slept burried underneath it, but he hadnt come out to eat yet, so after a few pokes we discovered he was dead. Probable cause; He froze to death. Apparently hampsters dont like breezes or cold rooms, and we keep our apt pretty cool, i usually cover him with a blanket before bed so he has more heat, but i forgot. Poor guy. So here's to Hiro.

He loved to climb his cage like monkey bars

It entertained Milly too

She teased him by jumping on top of the cage and just staring down at him, thats when he started climbing to the top.

Dont know why the door was down, but we got some good pics of him...

He was posing so well for the camera....

And Milly noticed too, she never knew what to do with him, but this was the closest they ever got! She just smelled him and we closed the door.

Meet Milly

Milly was my bday present this year. She is about 3 months old? just a guess...she is our new baby! She gets into everything! and she is spoiled to death, not only by us. Davids friend Ryan lives with a cat obsessed lady! she spent 125 bucks on this spoiled little thing in one day! she has a pink bed in the corner of our bed, so she sleeps with us everynight.

This is one of the toys Maria bought her, the ball spins around the outside and flashes.

Her and our hampster used to play together like this when he was in his ball

They liked to stare at each other for a few minutes until one of them got brave and made a move

Here she is getting into davids backpack. She thought she'd go to school with us i guess

Wonders of Work

David and I both work at Greenwood Assisted Living. Technically i guess we are nurses aides, BUT we do just as much of the medical things that everyone else there, certified or not does. We will be taking our CNA class next month. Anyway...just some of the ruitine things we do are; showers, toileting (yes that means changing briefs aka diapers) passing pills, serving meals and depeding on the shift either waking them up and getting them dressed, or putting them to bed. Its an awesome job, they are just a bunch of wrinkly kids and that comes with the good and the bad of children. For now i dont need kids i already take care of about 50 give or take. Here are some goofy pics of us getting ready for work and at work.

cant seem to take a serious picture, and when he does......

he looks high!

Me passing night time pills...

David talking to David (i think he looks like Ross from friends at age 83)

its really easy not to do anything but pull my hair back for work, because no matter what i look like all the residents tell me how beautiful i am! (i think its the lack of wrinkles :))

There are more pics im sure, but these are all i could find for now....as time goes on we will post about our favs.
