David celebrates great life!

You should all have at least heard by now that David and I have been attending a training in Salt Lake City called The Great Life Foundation. It truly has transformed our lives! There are 3 parts to the training. Part 1 is called Awakenings, I started that one in March and David started in April. They are 4 days long and the graduation is that saturday. This training is all about breaking down emotional walls and reconnecting with your inner child. Part 2 is called Brilliance Within, also 4 days long but the days are a little longer. This training is breaking thru the pain in your past to find the joy in yourself. It opened my eyes to who i truly am, and what i am capable of. We also create a creation statement, it goes like this....
Me: Hello my name is Meghan
Grads: Who are you?
Me: I am a beautiful, inspiring, powerful woman!
Grads: yes you are!
Me: thank you i know
Grads: why are you here?
Me: Thru my love, power and passion I inspire joy!
Grads: bring it on
Me: i am!

David: Hello I'm David
Grads: Who are you?
David: I am a courageous, worthy, joyful man!
Grads: Yes you are!
David: Thank you I know!
Grads: Why are you here?
David: By being peaceful i inspire joy bringing freedom and inspiration to all!
Grads: Bring it on!
David: I am!

It makes sense when it happens. Most people think we are a cult, until they go thru. I know i did! Then comes part 3, it is a friday and sat every other week for a few months. There are 4 weekends total. This brings all the tools we learned in the previous parts and applies it to daily life so we can continue living the way we felt in the training. Coming from my own experience I took this training at the perfect time in my life! I used to be depressed and extremely dramatic. Nothing i or anyone else did for me would satisfy me, now i am just happy to serve everyone and anyone! I wake up excited to go do things and I have a ton more energy than i used to. I dont make up excuses anymore, Im open and honest and i have a lot more love to share with others! I celebrated in May but i dont have any pictures of my celebration. Prob a good thing, it was 80s themed! here are the pics of Davids. Ill explain each picture....

This is Davids great life class #241 (I was 240....waaaay cooler!)

They came out to the stage dancing...as you can see he loves to entertain them by being a dork in front of the crowd!

They each took turns lighting candles. This is a beautiful representation of great life. I could go into a lot of detail but if your curious just ask me!

Here is David giving his experiences of great life....

Ryan is Davids best friend, they went thru this together and now they are inseperable dorks for life!

Starlett actually let me hold her!

Harrison NAVAJO PRIDE!

They wore fake mustaches....so glad he doesnt actually have one!

Ryan and I putting on our studly faces

Mom, Steve, Teresa, Darin, Star and Rachel came to the celebration

They were Mario and Luigi

I staffed Davids celebration weekend, so did another wife of a grad...were the wives of the group i guess...

Ryan David Katherine and Ryan. Katherine has a tattoo of a mustache on her fingers....so they all have fake mustaches.

Now that were celebrated we will be back staffing, enrolling family into the training. Rachel has gone thru part 1 and is scheduled to start part 2 in July. Linda is planning on starting sometime this year, whenever her work will allow. Teresa is next! lol jk! Couples is the next training for us! it starts in September and we will let you all know how that goes!

A day with Ruben

As i said in the last post..Jesus dropped Ruben off today and luckily we had a ton of stuff going on all day so we could keep him busy. We went to the parade after he played with the kitten for a little bit. He got a huge sugar high so we took him to the park. Every year the city counsel puts together a sort of carnival for the kids that were in the parade. When i was in the parades it was a park full of free activities to win prizes, just small stuff like fishing for tadpoles and cute stuff like that. We took him expecting that...but since Lehi is soooo big now they had all sorts of stuff that was close to free. 25 cents for most things. 50 cents for others. a couple dollars for the REALLY cool stuff! Ruben was so excited he could spend his dollar on somethin fun! Here are the pics of Rubens day....

Getting put in a harness to go rock climbing!

He made it up a lot further than any of the other kids his size! This was the second hardest side of the wall.

He and David jumped down the giant slide, the cameras timing is wierd so i managed to get Davids feet as he jumped...i completely missed Rubens jump!

Ruben REALLY wanted to be dunked it was a dollar to be dunked and a dollar for 3 throws. Ruben got dunked by David 2 times!

I think this was his second dunk

And hes in the water!

David was pretty stoked he got 2 out of 3 throws from a pretty far distance.

This swing was only 25 cents and he was super excited for it........

Until they set a little blonde girl next to him!

He still had fun anyway!

David had to beg him to do the slip n slide and after he went once he went 2 more times it was so fun! also 25 cents.

I bet he felt pretty good after that, it was HOT!

They had free arts and crafts. He colored his own paddle ball thingy...

They had a free petting zoo with lots of baby goats and ducks and chickens
and pigs...

And pony rides! This is where Ruben spent his dollar.

It looks like a dollar well spent.

He left saying it was sorta fun, then when Jesus picked him up he couldnt stop talking about all the stuff he did today! It was fun, just a tad bit hot. It woulda been a lot funner with all the nieces and nephews but were kinda far away from everyone! It was a great day!

Saturday Parade

Nothing too new, I got to be at work at 6am and the parade started at 10 so we took the oldies out again for some more fun! at 8 this morning Jesus showed up with Ruben and asked David to babysit so we got to spend the day with him. But thats another post in its self so here is the fun we had today at this parade.

Costco was throwing toilet paper instead of candy!

David and Anne. She is the down sydrome girl at the rest home. She makes our job soooo much fun!

Davids fav float

Ruben finally waving at ppl in the parade

He karate chopped a board!

2 kids running after candy...

He got all bashful when the girls on the floats blew him a kiss

Another pic of who we think is steves daughter. (the one in the middle)

just a cute float, in my horse parade post there is a pic of the real bandwagon this was made after

David and Ruben

Alice in Wonderland float!! So cute!

The girls waving at ruben

Elvis gave David a hip thrust....this is him pointing at David saying "This is for you"

The bag full of candy Ruben got after 2 1/2 hours of parade candy throwing!

The Rodeo!!!

Okay so just some background on why the rodeo means so much to me....My grandpa who passed away last year, used to take all his grandkids to the rodeo. Ever since i was old enough to walk he would buy us all new cowboy boots and a cowboy hat to go to the rodeo in. The rodeos concession stands are all run by wards who voulenteer each night, my grampa would go every year so when the stands closed down he could sneak us all left over hamburgers. The hamburgers at the rodeo are just about THE best burgers you could ever imagine! So last year the rodeo came a month after his death and I wasnt emotionally stable enough to go so I drug david this year. He ended up enjoying it more than I did! We did buy hamburgers, but didnt take pics of them. Instead we have pics of the nasty nachos all over davids face! The rodeo was a blast im so glad we went! Oh and the Lehi royalty has been in every parade and in that cart at the rodeo...we took lots of pics because we thought it was steves daughter? if not then we just have a lot of pics of the back of some girls head!

This pic right up here is the best rodeo clown ever with 3 little kids having a dance off. it was cute! the little boy was break dancing and the other girls just kicked their feet. but it was awesome!
